Week 10: Aftermath
21 Mei 2016 | Verenigde Staten, West Albany
I am very glad that I did this exchange program with my fellow Dutchies. I had one of the best times in my life. We got to know each other a little bit more, rather than only seeing each other in the classroom, while also experiencing everything at the same time.
Unfortunately, all good things come to and end. I think it was the perfect time to leave, as everything was in its peak. Might I have stayed longer, it could have become boring or repetitive. So rather than holding on to that, I will remember Albany very positively.
I still am in contact with lots of people whom are still there.
The funny thins is that I started to notice how calm the Netherlands is. I was so caught up in the busy life of America, that it kind of feels like a shock coming back. I really have to adjust myself to this lifestyle again, which wouldn’t be a problem as I am already starting to teach my dance classes again this Saturday.
All in all, I have had an amazing experience, and can’t stress enough how much of a good time I have had. I would recommend everyone to set aside some money, and do this. It is really worth it. I regret nothing!
On a side not, as I had mentioned already in the previous blog, I got ill of all the stress, impressions, emotional goodbyes, and the hurrying. While I am typing this blog, I am drinking a warm cup of thee, while lying under a warm blanket, hoping that I’ll get better soon.
However, this is unfortunately the last blog I will write. I really liked keeping track of everything, and can’t wait to re-read everything ones I have been here for a few months, to re-live everything.
Thank you for reading along with me, I appreciate it a lot!
All the best,
Tunckan.
